What it is
Every week of the NFL season, members of the Temple Emanuel community pick the winner of every game. Closest tiebreaker takes the week. One winner, every week, all season.
Each week has a sponsor. That’s you. You provide the week’s prize, and your business is the name attached to it.
What a sponsor gets
- Two emails to the full list that week. The Tuesday email that opens the week carries a write-up about your business and the prize you’re offering. The results email after the last game names you again alongside the winner.
- Your name on the site all week. Sponsor credit sits on the page people return to in order to make picks, check the lock time, and see the leaderboard.
- The good-news association. You are the business that gave someone in the community a prize. That is a genuinely different kind of attention from an ad.
- A write-up, not a logo dump. We interview you briefly and write real copy about what your business does. Then you review and edit it before a single email goes out. Nothing about your business is published without your approval.
Honest expectations
This is a community contest, not a media buy.
The audience is people connected to Temple Emanuel in Newton: neighbors, families, and their friends. It is a warm local audience rather than a large one, and the season is just starting, so the list is still being built. If you want precise numbers before deciding, ask and we’ll tell you exactly where the list stands that week. We’d rather you sponsor with real figures in hand than be talked into it.
The season runs 18 weeks from September into January, one sponsor a week. Ask which weeks are still open.
What we need from you
- A prize. Anything that suits your business: a gift card, a meal, a service, or a product. It doesn’t need to be large; it needs to be something a neighbor would be pleased to win.
- Fifteen minutes. A few questions about your business so the write-up sounds like you and not like a form letter.
- A quick review. We send you the draft, you edit anything you want changed, and nothing goes out until you approve it.
- A word about how the winner claims it. The winner comes to you directly, so you tell us what they should do, whether that’s mentioning the contest at the counter or emailing you first. We print your instructions in the results email, so nobody arrives unannounced.
That’s the whole commitment. We handle the emails, the contest, the scoring, and getting the prize to the winner.
